Haselbarth, Rita (Marriage - 7 Sept. 1957)

Jerome Rueden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Rueden, of Abbotsford, and Miss Rita Haselbarth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hasselbarth, of Fredonia, were united in marriage at St. Boniface church, Milwaukee, Saturday, Sept. 7. The ceremony was performed at 1:30 o’clock with Father Kasper officiating.

For her wedding, the bride appeared in a white princess style dress designed with a lace bodice and long sleeves that tapered to points over the wrist, and a three tier net skirt over satin. Her finger tip veil was caught to a crown of white pearls and tear drops and she wore a pearl necklace and tear drop ear rings. She carried a bouquet of white roses with hearts of pearl.

Miss Arlene Thums, Milwaukee, attended her friend in a ballerina length taffeta dress in two shades of turquoise. She wore a pearl necklace and tear drop ear rings, like the bride.

Attending the groom as best man was his cousin, Robert O’Brien, of Milwaukee.

The bride’s mother chose a brown dress with beige accessories and the groom’s mother had a green dress with red accessories. Both mothers had an orchid corsage.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Rueden greeted friends at a reception held at 3:00 o’clock and at a wedding dance at Barton hall.

After a trip to northern Wisconsin they will be at home at 2220 North Bremen, Apartment 4, Milwaukee. The groom is employed as a press operator at Inland Container. Prior to their marriage, the bride was a receptionist at West Bend hospital.

Guests at the wedding came from Abbotsford, Milwaukee, West Bend, Saukville, Port Washington, Random Lake, Fredonia, and Sheboygan.
