Maldonis, Beverly (Marriage - 12 Oct. 1957)

Miss Beverly Maldonis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Maldonis, Route 1, Abbotsford, became the bride of Lyle Duvall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Duvall, Route 2, Colby, in a ceremony which took place Saturday afternoon at Christ Lutheran church. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated.

Herbert Juneau was organist and also sang "The Lord’s Prayer," and "O Perfect Love."

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a waltz length gown of rose point lace over taffeta, with a bouffant skirt. The neckline of the tight fitting bodice was appliquéd with lace and rhinestone trim and rhinestone and pearls also trimmed the round collar. A crown of pearl trimmed nylon tulle, held her veil of sheer illusion. Her bouquet was made of red roses and white mums.

Attending the bride were Miss Janice Duvall, sister of the groom, of Colby, and Miss Marilyn Fitzel, cousin of the groom, of Chicago. They wore waltz length bouffant gowns of ruffled, white net over pastel colors of blue and green. A taffeta cummerbund ended with a bow in the back. They wore matching headpieces, trimmed with rhinestones and carried bouquets of pink and white carnations.

Duane Frahmann, cousin of the bride, of Route 1, Unity, was best man and Jerry Block, friend of the groom, of Chicago, Ill. was usher.

Mrs. Maldonis had an ensemble of blue metallic cloth and black jersey and Mrs. Duvall’s dress was in teal blue. Both mothers wore corsages of pink roses and mums.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and supper for 110 guests was served at 4:30 at the church dining room. In the evening, the new Mr. and Mrs. Duvall greeted friends at a wedding dance at Kolby Park.

They are now at home in Milwaukee where the groom is employed as a construction worker.

Guests from away who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Maldonis and family, Beloit; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Frahmann, Milwaukee; and Mr. and Mrs. Melton Frahmann, of Minnesota.
