Obit: Moede, Nancy (21 Mar. 1940 - 26 Oct. 2009) 
 

FOX LAKE -- Nancy Moede, 69, of Fox Lake died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. 
 

Nancy was born March 21, 1940, in Unity, the daughter of Harold and Marge Hudson Runge. She married Orvis "Butch" Moede on Dec. 26, 1959, in Unity. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Unity area for 11 years. They moved to the Waupun area in 1970. Nancy was employed by Speed Queen for 30 years, retiring in 2002. 
 

Nancy returned to Unity in 2004 to spend time with her mother and recently moved to Fox Lake. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun. 
 

Nancy is survived by two daughters, Tammy Vande Zande of Waupun and Dawn (Dan) Van Buren of Waupun; three sons, Scott (Adelaida) Moede of Fox Lake, Doug Moede and Lance (Jill) Moede of rural Fox Lake; her mother, Marge Runge of Unity; 11 grandchildren, Adam and Eric Vande Zande, Judy Lynd Gonzalez, Ashley and Krystal Van Buren, Jessica, Samantha Jo, Jennifer, Jacob, Macey and Max Moede; a great-grandchild, Paris Gonzalez; a sister, Susan (Ron) Karsten of Curtiss; five brothers, Dennis (Diane) Runge of West Allis, Ron (LaVonne) Runge of Edgar, Duane (Joanne) Runge of Colby, Randy Runge of Medford, and Bradley (Kathy) Runge of Lady Smith. 
 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvis, in January 2002; her father, Harold; a great-grandchild, Caven Donovan; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. 
 

Funeral services for Nancy Moede will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun with the Rev. Kenneth Loehrke officiating. 
 

Friends and relatives of Nancy may call on the family from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun and Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. 
 

Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home of Waupun and staff are serving the family.
