Shaw, Darlene E (Marriage - 21 January 1953) 
 

Miss Darlene E. Shaw, Neillsville, became the bride of Kenneth D. Eddy, Neillsville, on Wednesday, January 21.  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shaw, Neillsville, and the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Eddy, Neillsville. 
 

Their marriage took place at 2:30 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran parsonage, with the Rev. Alfred Schewe officiating.  
 
Miss Arlene Mills, Owen, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid.  Best man was the groom’s brother, Jack Eddy.
 
 

The bride chose a wedding suit of gray with green accessories.  She wore a corsage of red roses. The bridesmaid  was attired in a jade green suit, with black accessories. She wore a corsage of yellow daffodils.   
 

After the wedding a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for about 60 guests.  The table was decorated with pink and green, centered with a large wedding cake. 
 

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Mills, Arlene, Donald and Arlyn, Loretta Thorson, Ray Sanderson, Sandra Welker of Owe; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Shaw of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Riggs, Sharon, Shirley and Roger, and Lois Hieman, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bandelow, Menomonie; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lunka and daughter, Avis, Willard; Mrs. Frank McMahn, Mrs. Donald Heuer, Norma Jean, Roger and Dick Eddy, all of Cataract; Mrs. William Ward, Mrs. Hugh Eddy, Robert and Gary, Mrs. Pearl Mathews, Geraldine and Kata Lou, all of Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Davidson of Rockton, Ill.; and Edgar Eddy, Sparta.  
 

The young couple left Thursday on a wedding trip to Milwaukee, West Bend, Lodi and Cataract.
