Meyers, Marvel (? - 29 July 1953)  

Mrs. Art Meyers (Marvel Johnson) died July 29, 1953, at her home, 2568 S. 28th Street, Milwaukee.  Burial was in Arlington Cemetery with Rev. Reuben Gornitzka, pastor of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, officiating. 

She was a graduate of the Neillsville High School and taught school for several years in Clark County.  She was active in social affairs in Neillsville for many years; also in Milwaukee. 

Surviving besides her husband, are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson, Neillsville; one sister, Ina, Mrs. Fred Gosse, Milwaukee; two brothers - Robert E. and Roland V. Johnson, Milwaukee; also several nieces and nephews.  

One sister (Elgie) Mrs. Walter Newman, Curtiss preceded her in death. 

Pallbearers were: Fred Gosse, Jr., Carl Gosse, August Gosse, Lyle Stephenson, Theodore Sliwinski and Medford Wesley. 

Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were from Rockford, Ill., Butler, Colby, Neillsville, Madison and Abbotsford.
