Strong, Mrs. R.A. (1829? - ? 1911)

At her home on the farm near the village of Ontario, Vernon County, Mrs. R.A. Strong passed peacefully away of general debility at the advanced age of 82 years.  She was the last of the pioneers who made their home in the wilderness in the year 1861.  She was an active, energetic woman to the very last, not casting aside her burden until the Master called.  While she was not affiliated with any church, her life was a beautiful symbol of Christian faith.

The burial services were held in the Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Gales from an original text, "Thy loving kindness is better than life."  She leaves to mourn her loss 3 daughters, Mrs. Josie L. White, Colby, Wis., Mrs. Eva E. Potter, Neillsville, Wis., Mrs. Myrtle Quackenbush, Norwalk, Wis., and three grandsons.  May her good deeds live after her.
