Hinkelmann, Marie  (03 OCT 1925-08 NOV 2009)

Marie E, Hinkelmann, 84, Loyal, received her wings on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She had been a resident at the Golden Living Center-Three Oaks, Marshfield. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 5-8 p.m. at the Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, and on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery.

Marie Elsie Diercks was born on Oct. 3, 1925, in the town of York, to William and Clara (nee Zickert) Diercks and attended area schools. She married Herbert Hinkelmann on Oct. 21, 1945, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. They farmed in Loyal for many years until selling the farm to their son, Harlan, in 1983. They had a true partnership on the farm as they raised their five children and farmed. "Family" meant everything to them and was their first consideration in all they did.

In her spare time, she loved to bake, garden, can, quilt, and embroider. She was an active member of her church, Trinity Lutheran, being involved in adult fellowship, the quilting circle, and teaching Sunday School for many years. She was also a member of the Trim.’n’Tidy Homemakers Club.

Survivors include her five children, Carol (Steven) Allar, Hewett, Nancy (Tom) Purcell, Spokane, Wash., Karen (Dave) Bloom, Loyal, Brenda (Bill) Wilcox, Madison, and Harlan (Missy) Hinkelmann, Loyal; nine grandchildren, Brad (Kimberly) Allar, Holly (Michael) Beehn, Lynette (Mark) Andreason, Heidi Purcell, Matt (Karen) Bloom, Dan (Shannon) Bloom, Andrea Bloom, Derrick Hinkelmann, and Devani Hinkelmann; eight great-grandchildren, Ethan, Clara, Ella, Grant, Noah, Owen, and Kolton; and one sister, Erna Saibold, Marshfield.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Herbert, on May 7, 1997; one great-grandchild, Gabriel Beehn.\; and one sister, Vera Drescher.

The family requests That memorials be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 N. West St., Loyal WI 54446, in her memory.
