Withee, Wisconsin 

Wm Anderson has sold his farm east of Withee to Prim Seborge. Consideration, $1600.

Soren Anderson is brick veneering his house, the bricks being supplied from T. K. Peterson's brick yard.

The reporter to the Thorp Courier stated in the last issue that Dr. G. S. Nielsen will be compelled to move out of his new house on account of the plastering falling down. We are authorized to state that he is there yet and expects to stay.

C. R. Hansen had to kill one of his horses last week. He is now trying to break a young one in, which is causing him a good deal of trouble.

Withee has seen the day when the inhabitants, or those living near by, were compelled to go to Longwood for merchandise. Today we have eight or more business houses, two hotels, two blacksmith shops, etc. with prospects for enterprises in other lines that will help materially to make this town a trading center.

A meeting was announced to be held at the Farmer's Home Land office to decide which would be most appropriate to have a creamery or a cheese factory at this place.

Ole and Peter Jensen left for Denmark via New York last Sunday. They expect to eat their Christmas dinner at their old home. We wish them a happy journey.

On Thanksgiving day Charley Funk had the following notice posted on his window, "Gone to eat Turkey." Time went on, but Charley did not appear. Visitors came, saw the notice in the window, waited patiently, but only the sign was visible. The evening came, and it was still hanging there. Now we cannot help but think that it must either have been an awful tough turkey or Charley must be a terrible eater.

Jep Hansen has bought a lot in the south part of the town. He will build a house on it the coming spring.

A carpenter shop is being erected between Krom Bro.'s saloon and the new postoffice.

A. C. Nielsen had donated a lot for a church building.
