McIntyre, DR. R. E. (? - 14 March 1955)  
 

Dr. R. E. McIntyre, 78, who practiced dentistry in Greenwood for 30 years, died suddenly March 14 at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen, where he had been for the past six months. 
 

He is survived by his second wife, the former Mrs. Gusta Offord, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Avis) Muchenhern of Madison, two grandchildren and a sister.  
 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hoeper-Kraut Funeral Home in Owen, with the Rev. Herbert Wagner, pastor of the Congregational Church in Curtiss, officiating.  Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.  Masonic rites also were conducted.  Those from this vicinity who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heiking of Loyal and his sister, Mrs. Minnie Cox, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cox of Greenwood.
