Selves, Ruth DeCremer (Marriage - 16 April 1955) 
 

Ruth DeCremer Selves, daughter of Mrs. Alma DeCremer of Neillsville, and Robert G. Smukal, son of the late Rev. and Mrs. E. Smukal of Spring Green, Wis., were married Saturday, April 16, in a double ring ceremony, performed by the Rev. Alfred Schewe at St. John’s Lutheran Church. 
 

The bride wore a dress of yellow net over taffeta with a matching veil. She carried a crescent bouquet of yellow roses.  Her maid of honor, Miss Darlene Bailey, wore a dress of green net over taffeta. 
 

The groom as attended by a brother of the bride, Clarence DeCremer of Owen.  Milton Tock and Kenneth Short ushered.  
 

A reception for 150 guests was held at St. John’s Lutheran assembly room, which was decorated in yellow and green. 
 

The bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School and is employed at the Badger State Telephone and Telegraph Co.  The groom is also a high school graduate and is employed in construction work in Spring Green. 
 

They left on a wedding trip to South Dakota. 
 

Out of town guests attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Luther Smukal and son, Baraboo; Mr. and Mrs. Pat Smukal, Wisconsin Dells; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence DeCremer and sons, Owen; Mrs. Christina Bailey, Baraboo; Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Robson, Spring Green; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Robson and daughter, Spring Green; Francis Feiner and Miss Delores Weldner, Spring Green.
