McCarty, Mary S. (Marriage - 10 July 1955)

Miss Mary S. McCarty of 310 Hewett St. Neillsville chose Sunday, July 10, as the date of her marriage to Orin G. Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melford Williams of Neillsville. The single ring ceremony was performed at Chippewa Falls at 2 p.m.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Asa McCarty of New Auburn, wore a white gown of ballerina length.  The bouffant skirt of Chantilly lace was tiered over double nylon net over taffeta. The fitted bodice and nylon tulle cape accented the bridal outfit.  The ensemble was complete with a fingertip veil attached to a headpiece of seed pearls and rhinestones.  She carried a hand bouquet of red roses tied with lace ribbons.

A nile green net over taffeta gown of ballerina length with a fitted bodice was the dress worn by Miss Shirley Jakobi, as maid of honor.  Her headpiece was of net and ribbon.  Yellow carnations tied with green ribbon made up her bouquet.

The groom was attended by Leonard Sollberger as best man.

Seventy-five guests attended the reception held at the home of the bride’s parents at New Auburn.

The bride is a graduate of the New Auburn High School, is employed as a waitress in a Neillsville restaurant.

The groom is employed as a mechanic in Neillsville, and is a graduate of Loyal High School.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Williams will reside at 310 Hewett St. Neillsville.
