Colwell, Mrs. Dale (3 November 1913 - 3 December 1955) 
 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Hixton for Mrs. Dale Colwell of Black River Falls.  She had been a patient at the Madison Hospital and last week was brought to the Black River Falls Hospital, where she died on Saturday, December 3. 
 

Mrs. Colwell was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Rhead, who resided in the Neillsville community several years ago.  She was born November 3, 1913.  She was married to Dale Colwell of Taylor on February 18, 1930.  Four children were born.  They were: Arlene Joyce, who preceded her mother in death, John and Robert at home, and Mrs. Henry (Shirley) Larson of Holmen, Wis. 
 

She is survived by her husband, the three children, one grandson, and four sisters, Mrs. Tom (Alice) Krejci, Tioga; Mrs. Kenneth (Elsie) Metcalf, Neillsville; Mrs. Jack (Opal) Spangler, and Mrs. Vern (Myrtle) Schoonover, Beloit; five brothers, Oakley Rhead, La Crosse; Elwin Rhead, Rockford, Ill.; Frank, John and Richard Rhead of Beloit.  One brother preceded her in death. 
 

Interment was in the cemetery at Disco in Jackson County. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Krejci, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Metcalf, Mrs. Alvin Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kaudy, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schoengarth, were the local people who attended the services on Tuesday.
