Kodl, Elaine J. (16 JUL 1955)

Miss Elaine Jean Kodl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Kodl, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Gale M. Kienholz, son of Mrs. Astrid Kienholz, Stanley, were married at 11 a.m. July 16, 1955 at Stanley.

The Rev. F. M. Salveson performed the double ring ceremony at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

The bride wore a ballerina length gown of Chantilly type lace with a boat-shaped neckline trimmed with medallions of sequins and lace, and a skirt of ruffle upon ruffle of shirred lace.  Her veil fell from a beaded tiara.  She carried a colonial bouquet of white gladioli.

Miss Marjorie Kodl attended her sister as maid of honor.  She wore a light pink ankle length strapless gown of nylon net over taffeta styled with a lace cuff on the bodice and skirt, and a stole of matching net.  Her pink beaded tiara matched the dress.

Bridesmaid was Miss Jeanette Kodl, another sister.  She wore a gown identical to that of the maid of honor, and each carried a heart shaped bouquet of pink and white gladioli.

Best man for his brother was Robert Kienholz.  Groomsman was Milton Kodl, brother of the bride, and ushers were Rollo Everett, cousin of the bride, and Dave Kienholz, brother of the groom.

The reception was held in the church parlors in the afternoon.  A wedding dance was given in the evening at the Quonset Ballroom.

They will live at 1901 S. First Ave., Berwyn, Ill.
