Bolf, Dolores (6 AUG 1955)

 

Miss Dolores Bolf, daughter of Mrs. Catherine Bolf of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) became the bride of Wm. Benzschawel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Benzschawel of Thorp, in a ceremony performed by Father Hartung at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Greenwood at 9:00 o’clock on the morning of Saturday, Aug. 6th, 1955.

 

The couple was attended by John Bolf, brother of the bride, as best man, and Joan Benzschawel, sister of the groom. Anthony Bolf, brother of the bride, was groomsman, and Mrs. Dorothy Bolf, sister-in-law of the bride, was bridesmaid.  Alvin Benzschawel, cousin of the groom, and Wm. Mickett Jr., nephew of the bride, served as ushers.

 

The bride was beautifully dressed in Chantilly lace and net over satin, fashioned floor length with scalloped illusion neckline, small collar and tapering sleeves.  He bouffant skirt with panels of lace extending to the hemline was over net and satin.  Completing her attire she wore a tiara of seed pearls and brilliants which held the imported silk illusion veil made fingertip.  She carried a round colonial bouquet of white roses and carnations with streamers.

 

Her bridesmaids, Miss Benzschawel and Mrs. Bolf, wore light pink and light blue floor length strapless gowns of nylon net over taffeta with hats to match their dresses.  They carried bouquets of pink and red carnations with streamers.

 

Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served and a reception held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in St. Bernard’s Church basement.  Supper was served there also to relatives and guests.

 

After a wedding trip in northern Wisconsin newlyweds will make their home on a farm near Thorp.
