Mitte, Florence (Marriage - 5 May 1956)

A home at 3313A-South 25th Street, Milwaukee, awaits the former Florence Mitte and James Vincent on their return to Milwaukee following their marriage last Saturday.  The parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Mitte of Neillsville, Rt. 3, and Mr. and Mrs. James Vincent of 23 Clay Street, Neillsville.

For the 2:30 p.m. ceremony Saturday, performed by the Rev. A. Schumann at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Globe, the bride wore a floor-length dress of nylon and lace over satin.  The bodice was fashioned with short sleeves and matching gauntlets.  Imported illusion lace fashioned her veil which was fastened to a head piece trimmed in seed pearls.  Her flowers consisted of an orchid surrounded by white stephanotis.

Maid of honor was Gladys Dux, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Mitte and Joyce Vincent.  Little Joy Mitte served her aunt as flower girl.

The groom was attended by Robert Mitte and Franklin Mitte as groomsmen and Lawrence Zink as bestman.  Attending to ushering duties were Norman Poppe and Wallace Krause.

The double ring ceremony was performed before an altar decorated with white gladioli and candles.

Following the wedding a reception for 200 guests was held at Poppe’s Country club, which was decorated with white bells and white gladioli.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and is employed by the Briggs and Stratton Company of Milwaukee. The groom, also a graduate of Neillsville High School, is employed at the Ladish Company in Milwaukee.
