Funeral services for Mrs. James Quicker, mother of County Board Vice Chairman H. H. Quicker, will be held from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton Friday, May 24, at 2 p.m. 
 

The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Arthur Oswald, and burial will be made in the Lynn cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Robert and Raymond Barth, Norman Vanderwyst, Walter, Hubert, and Jerry Quicker. 
 

Mrs. Quicker, who spent 59 of her 78 years in Clark County, succumbed to an extended illness at 8:15 p.m. Monday in Neillsville. 
 

Mrs. Quicker was born Louise Wilhelmenia Steinbach on September 5, 1878, in Calumet County. She was the daughter of John and Julia Steinbach.  She was married to James Quicker in the Town of Lynn in 1898.  They raised eight children, all of whom still are living. They are: Albert and Mrs. Mervin (Esther) Voight, Both of San Diego, Calif.; Roland, Mrs. Melvin (Leah) Schafer, and Mrs. Lavern (Irene) Vanderwyst, all of Granton; Mrs. John (Hilda) Barth of Chili; and Hubert H. and Reinhart, both of Neillsville.  Mr. Quicker also survives.
