Berge, Evelyn L. (13 NOV 1955)

Miss Evelyn L. Berge of Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Berge of Stanley, and Eugene L. Kolar, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Kolar of Milwaukee, were married at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Church of the Brethren at Stanley.

The Rev. Ernest Detrick read the double ring ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of Italian lace with nylon net, styled with an empire collar, and a satin skirt with lace, ending in a short train.  Her fingertip veil of nylon net fell from an empire crown trimmed with rhinestones and pearls.  She carried yellow roses.

Miss Arvalee Swim of Thorp served as maid of honor.  She wore an orchid dress styled with two layers of net over taffeta, and a bodice of iridescent crystalline net over taffeta, with a picture stole.  Her bouquet was of yellow mums in the center surrounded by white mums.

Miss Carole Budnick, Milwaukee, was bridesmaid.  She wore a pale green dress and carried an identical bouquet with a ribbon to match her dress.

The bride’s mother wore a navy blue two piece dress with a corsage of red roses.  The groom’s mother wore a gray suit, and also had a corsage of roses.

Ushers were Donald and Leonard Berge, Stanley, brothers of the bride.

A reception was held at Stanley auditorium following the ceremony.

After a short wedding trip, the groom will leave for Japan with the armed forces on Nov. 14, and the bride will return to her occupation in Milwaukee until he can make preparations for her to join him.
