Wilson, Warren Willard (14 May 1892 - 30 July 1957)

Warren Wilson, 65, former Neillsville resident, died July 30, at he home of his twin brother, Wilber Wilson in Marshfield.  Death was attributed to a heart ailment.

Warren Willard Wilson, son of the late Reuben and Estelle Brown was born May 14, 1892.  He received his education at the Reed School on Pleasant Ridge.

His parents died when he was young, and the children made their home with the Sereno Wren family in the Town of Grant.  In 1914 he and his twin brother went to Havre, Mont., where he worked on the railroad until July 30, 1917, when he came back to Neillsville and entered the army.  He served as a private in the Co. A, 128th Infantry, and served overseas.  He received his discharge at Camp Grant, Ill., on May 19, 1919.

In 1922 he returned to Clark County and, with his twin brother, bought a farm in the town of York.  In 1924 he went to live with his brother, George, in Detroit, Mich.  While there, he followed the construction trade.

In the fall of 1927 he returned again to Neillsville for a short time prior to spending a year at Spokane, Wash.  In 1919 he returned to Detroit, and came back to his farm in 1932.

Following the sale of the farm in 1939 the two brothers moved to Detroit, where they went in partnership with their brother, George, in a grocery store.  In 1945 they moved onto a farm near Chili, and in 1947 moved to Marshfield, where they had since resided.  He never married.

Survivors include the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. C. W. (Belle) Bredeson, Spokane, Wash.; his twin brother, Wilbur, of Marshfield; Mrs. Mabel Overley, Bremerton, Wash.; Mrs. Emil (Mary) Nymann, Minneapolis; Mrs. Ernest (Helen) Campbell, Neillsville; and George Wilson of Christie.

Funeral services, with military rites, were conducted Friday afternoon from the Bergemann Funeral Home.  The Rev. Albert Guthmiller, pastor of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Joe Cardarelle, Arthur Haugen, Ernest Knoble, E. H. Snyder, Ernest Vine and Robert Wagner.
