Pethers, Alice LePage (25 APR 1886 - 7 JAN 1955)

 

A Requiem High mass was said for Mrs. Alice LePage Pethers, who passed away after a brief illness on Friday, Jan. 7th, 1955.  She was hospitalized at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Superior at the time of her death and was 68 years of age.  The Mass was said at 9 o’clock Monday morning at St. Francis Church in Superior and burial made in St. Anne’s Cemetery at Blueberry, Wis.

 

Pallbearers were six grandsons, Donald and Ernest Dalbec, Harvey Stein, Robert LePage, Jerome LePage and Ronald Auberg.

 

The deceased was born on April 25, 1886 in Crookston, Minn.  Her husband, Jack LePage, died in 1918 while the couple was living in Superior.  In 1924 she came to this community, first residing on a farm southeast of the city and later moved into town.  In 1936 she left Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), moving to Rib Lake, where she made her home until 10 years ago when she returned to Superior.

 

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Donahue and Mrs. Walter Carlson, both of Superior; one brother, Nick Valade of Superior; five sons, Nick LePage, Owen, Edward LePage, Withee, Archie and Clarence LePage, and Charles Pethers of Superior; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Ida) Stein, and Mrs. Willard (Agnes) Dalbec of Superior, and Mrs. Bernard (Ardelle) Auberg, Withee, and 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
