McIntyre, Ralph #2 (29 SEP 1878 - 14 MAR 1955)

 

At two o’clock this afternoon funeral services were conducted for Dr. Ralph McIntyre, retired dentis, from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home in Owen.  The Rev. H. D. Wagner, pastor of the Alliance Church, city, officiated.  The remains were then taken to Greenwood where Masonic rites were conducted by the Owen Masonic Lodge at the Greenwood Cemetery.

 

Dr. McIntyre was 78 years of age when he passed away late Monday night at Victory Memorial Hospital where he had been rushed in the city ambulance after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage at the Havenet Nursing Home where he had been living for the past six months.

 

Ralph Emerson McIntyre was born on Sept. 29, 1878, in Pierce County.  On Aug. 13, 1910 he was united in marriage to Orta Greely who has preceded him in death, having passed away in 1934.  For more than 30 years he practice dentistry in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) and Withee and from 1925 to 1930 conducted a practice in Eau Claire.  Since his retirement he has made his home in Owen, buying a home here several years ago.  However, for the past six months he and his second wife have been making their home at the Havenet Nursing Home.

 

Surviving him are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. R. J. (Avis) Muckenhirn, Madison; a sister, Mrs. J. E. Ludwig of Hudson; and a brother, William, of River Falls., Wis.
