Funeral services were held in Waukesha Saturday for Mrs. Loie Alden, former Neillsville and Granton resident who died Thursday in Rice Lake.

Mrs. Alden was the wife of Earl Alden, who operated a barber shop in Neillsville during the 1920s-30s.  He died in 1954.  She was born March 21, 1882, in O’Neill, Nebr.

Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Louis Neverman and Mrs. Laird Ross, both of Waukesha, and Mrs. Olger Brommer of Rice Lake.  Seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Henry Hanson of Madison, also survive.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Ferris of the Congregational Church in Waukesha, and burial was made in Highland Memorial Cemetery, near there.
