Beil, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph (52nd - 14 November 1958)

Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Beil, of Chili, will observe their 52nd wedding anniversary, Friday, November 14.  A pre-anniversary celebration was held last weekend at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Dankemyer, in Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. Beil were married November 14, 1906, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mapleworks, near Granton.  The Rev. J. Buenger performed the ceremony.  Mrs. Beil, the former, Laura Schlinsog, was born in the Town of Grant.  Mr. Beil was born in Calumet County and came to Lynn, Clark County, in 1904.  Following the wedding in 1906, they took up residence in Lynn, and in 1911 purchased a farm in the Town of Fremont, near Chili, where they have made their home since.

Attending the celebration were a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Hilda) Montag and her family of Chili; the son Arwin Beil, and his family, on the home farm in Fremont; and daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Esther) Dankemyer and her family, of Neillsville, and Mrs. Lyle (Hazel) Doehr, and her family, of Spencer.

Mr. Beil has been active as a resident of the Town of Fremont, serving as town chairman or supervisor for 18 years, several years on the district school board, and nearly 30 years as a director of the Chili Co-operative. Besides the four children they also have seven grandchildren, all of whom attended the celebration.
