Williams, William P. #3 (16 JUL 1880 - 4 OCT 1955)

Friends of the late William P. Williams, 75, may call at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 7, where his body is lying in state.  He passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1955, at his home in Abbotsford, with death being attributed to complications of old age.

Funeral services will be conducted at two o’clock Saturday afternoon, Oct. 8th, from the Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford.  The Rev. Harrison will officiate at the final rites, while burial will be made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

The deceased was born July 16, 1880, in Long Island, N.Y.  On Dec. 31, 1907, he and Anna Zensel were united in marriage in a ceremony performed at Curtiss, Wis.  His life was devoted to a business career as a contractor.

His passing is mourned by a sister, Leda Brack, Blasdell, N.Y.; four sons, Tom, now a resident of Alaska, Harry of Holway, Guy, Washington, and Walter of New York; a daughter, Mrs. O. A. (Marguerite) Laabs, Milan; and two grandchildren, Judy and James Laabs.

(Corrections below provided by a relative)

The obit shown in the Owen Enterprise has errors in the survivors listing.  Mrs. Orville (Margaret) Laabs is the only child.  Leda and Walter of New York and Harry of Curtiss were siblings of William, not his children,  They are correctly identified as such later in the paragraph.

I realize the errors must have originated with the original publications, but if it is possible to make corrections now, please do so.

Thanks again.
