Dzien, Rose (13 APR 1889 - 8 OCT 1955)

Mrs. Rose Dzien, 66, succumbed to a lingering illness at her home in Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.) Saturday night.  At eight o’clock Sunday night a rosary service was conducted by Fr. H. L. Crubel at Hoeper and Kraut’s Funeral Home, and then her remains were shipped to Chicago where services were conducted on Wednesday from St. Fedelis Church with burial being made in St. Albert’s Cemetery at Niles, Ill.

She was born April 13, 1889, in Poland.  When 18 years of age she came to America, first living in Massachusetts.  On Oct. 1, 1910, she was united in marriage to Stanley Dzien in a ceremony performed in Chicago, Ill.  Since 1941 she had been a resident of this community living with her daughter, Marie Bruns.

Her passing is mourned by three daughters, Marie Bruns, Withee; Stephanie Jablon and Josephine Carny.  Her husband preceded her in death, passing away in 1928, and a daughter, Ann, passed away in 1947.
