Van Gorden, Nancy (Marriage - 26 September 1981) 
 

Making their home in Prescott are the new Mr. and Mrs. Tim Kopp. 
 

The couple, Nancy Van Gorden and Tim Kopp, was united in marriage on Saturday evening, September 26, ceremonies at Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville.  The Rev. Paul Forde officiated at the candlelight ceremony. 
 

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Van Gorden, 100 Grand Ave. Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kopp, Sr., Rt. 1 Neillsville. 
 

Special music at the service offered which included "Longer" by soloist Marie Stanley and "Hear Us Now Our God and Father" by the duet of Marie Stanley and Diane Havlicek.  Kris Herbrand was accompanist. 
 

Serving as maid of honor was Marie Stanley, a friend of the bride from Granton.  Joining was Diane Havlicek, another friend of Neillsville.  Ivan Karl, a Neillsville friend, was the best man.  He was joined by David Steiger, a friend from Rhinelander.  Ushering were Bill Van Gorden, brother of the bride from Oshkosh, and Brad Kopp, nephew of the groom from Neillsville.  Serving as flower girl was Peggy Corrine Van Gorden, sister of the bride. 
 

The bride chose a gown featuring a standing lace collar and lace bodice and pleated Qiana skirt.  Her veil was of fingertip length and she carried a bouquet of stephanotis, baby’s breath, cascading ivy and greenery.  Her attendants wore burgundy gowns with standing lace collars and bodice with pleated Qiana skirts.  They carried bouquets of stephanotis, baby’s breath and ivy.  The flower girl wore a mauve, floral-print dress, also with standing collar, trimmed with velvet burgundy ribbon.  The groom was attired in a black tuxedo with white pleated shirt; his attendants wore black suits with white and burgundy shirts. 
 

Following the ceremonies, a reception was held at the Riviera Supper Club.  The couple then left on a trip to Northern Wisconsin.  
 

The bride is a 1977 graduate of Neillsville High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from UW-Eau Claire this year.  She is employed as an English teacher for Prescott High School.  Her husband, a 1973 graduate of Neillsville High School is employed by Kurt Marg, Inc., Neillsville.
