Roy F. Smith, age 76, of Lublin, passed away on March 19, 2010, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 22, 2010, at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin. Fr. Marion Talaga officiated and burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation was held at the church, on Monday, from 9:30 a.m., until time of service.  
 

Roy Frank Smith was born on June 19, 1933, in Chicago, IL, the son of John and Dorothy (Anderson) Smith.  He was raised and received his education in Chicago. After completing his education, Roy worked for Montgomery Wards in the Chicago area.  He then served in the U. S. Army and returned to Chicago after his discharge and went to work for Justrite Manufacturing.  He was united in marriage to Helen Lew on August 1, 1959, in Chicago.  They moved to Lublin in 1971 and Roy worked at Lord Label Manufacturing in Thorp, until retiring in 1995.  He then enjoyed woodworking, golfing and helping Joe Stokosa at his garage in Lublin. In his younger years, Roy was a volunteer fireman in the Lublin Fire Department. 
 

He is survived by his wife, Helen, of Lublin; his daughter, Nancy (Jeff) Williams of Elk Mound; one grandson, Taylor Williams; one brother, James (Diane) Smith of Arizona; and one niece. 
 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Smith.
