Arlene L. G. Rizzi, 65, Spencer, died on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Visitation will be held at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, on Friday, March 26, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. The Rev. Jerome Naduvathaniyil will officiate.

 

Arlene Lucy Gladys Degenhardt was born on Dec. 29, 1944, in Loyal, WI, to Henry and Laverne (nee Ryan) Degenhardt. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in the Loyal area. She married Sylvester "Silver" Rizzi on Feb. 10. 1964. They lived in the town of Sherman, rural Spencer. She worked several jobs over the years, including Land O’Lakes, Loyal Canning Factory, Figi’s, housekeeping ay MO-B’s Motel, and Fisker’s. She had a great love for the outdoors, garage sales, and loved her critters, especially her dogs.

 

She will be dearly missed by her son, Ronald Rizzi, Spencer; two grandchildren; special friend, Dale Schnabel, Spencer; two brothers, Raymond (Elaine) Degenhardt, Marshfield, and Ron (Helena) Degengardt, Rockford, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Betty Degenhardt, Greenwood, and Mary Ann Degenhardt, Dillsboro, Ill., a brother-in-law, Leo Verbrigghe, Janesville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Sylvester, in 1980, five brothers, Edwin, Harold, Alan, James and Roman Degenhardt; and three sisters, Jean Verbrigghe, Carol Whipple and Eleanor Bowman.
