Koppen, Duane L. "Mick" (August 10, 1932 - March 20, 2010) 
 

Duane L. "Mick" Koppen, 77, of Huntley died Saturday, March 20, 2010 in Monroe.

 
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 N. Church St., Huntley. The Rev. Charles W. Kittel will preside. Burial will be in Huntley Cemetery.

 
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 at the James A. O’Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley and continues at the church Thursday morning prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

 
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church.

HUNTLEY - Duane L. "Mick" Koppen, 77, of Huntley passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 in Monroe, Wis. 
 
He was born Aug. 10, 1932, in Elgin the son of Clarence and Esther (Ahrens) Koppen. He was a 1950 graduate of Huntley High School.  
 

He married Phyllis D. Sanwald on Dec. 8, 1951 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Huntley.  
 

He was a lifelong farmer in Huntley and he also farmed in Abbotsford, Wis. He also worked for 37 years at Dean Foods in Huntley in addition to farming. 
 
He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Huntley. He loved John Deere tractors and enjoyed traveling. 
 
Surviving are his loving wife, Phyllis; three children, Edward (Joy) Koppen of Genoa, Diane (Wayne) Kreft of Monroe, Wis., and Connie (Dave Hardt) Koppen of Woodstock; four grandchildren, Scott (Christy) Botterman, Martin (Angie Semeyn) Koppen, Nicole (Scott) Ruegsegger and Mallory Koppen; six great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Bailey, Beau, Bria, Mackenzie and Madelyn; a brother, Lyle (Patricia) Koppen of Marengo; and a sister-in-law, Betty (Walter) Rueter of Huntley. 
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Martin on June 3, 1980; a grandson, Ryan Koppen and a sister-in-law, Gertrude Koppen. 
 
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley. Visitation will continue from. 10 a.m. Thursday, March 25, until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 N. Church St., Huntley, with the Rev. Charles W. Kittel officiating. Burial will be in Huntley Cemetery. 
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church.
