Eberts, Ernest (20 MAY 1886 - 13 MAR 1956)

At two o’clock this afternoon funeral services for Ernest Eberts, 69, were conducted by Rev. W. Clayton Nielsen, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Fred Stegeman, Ted Stegeman, Ray Slock, August Slock, Morris Martin and Ray Purgett.

Ernest Eberts was born on May 30, 1886 at Tomah, Wis., and succumbed to a long lingering illness Tuesday evening at six-thirty o’clock at the Havenet Nursing Home where he had been a resident for the past months.

When he was 27 years of age he moved to this community (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), settling on a farm north of Owen two miles on County Trunk D, where he diligently toiled, developing a wild tract of land into its present day dairy value.

He was unmarried but is survived by his mother, Mary Eberts, a sister, Norma Heddlesten, Prineville, Ore.; three brothers, Bert of Owen and William and Orin of Rock Island, Ill.
