Greschner, Hailey Mckellen (May 30, 1996 - March 27, 2010)

Hailey Mckellen Greschner, 13, died at home peacefully in her sleep Saturday, March 27, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born May 30, 1996, to Tom and Cheri Greschner, and raised in Owen on the family farm.

She attended school at Owen-Withee Elementary School. Hailey was full of energy and enjoyed spending time outdoors with her pets and riding bike. Hailey was baptized at the age of 12, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and was dedicated to telling others about God’s purpose and His love for us. It brought her great fulfillment and happiness right up until the time of her death. Hailey maintained a strong and positive outlook throughout her illness and has been an encouragement and example to us all.

Hailey is lovingly survived by her parents, Tom and Cheri Greschner of Owen; sisters, Kelly (William) Johnson of Owen and Laura Greschner of Minneapolis; grandparents, John and Lucille Greschner of Owen; nephews, Liam, Luke and Levi Johnson of Owen; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at the Old School Gym in Owen, 101 E. 3rd St. (corner of 3rd and Central Ave.) with Clint Boettcher presiding. Doors will be open for visitation starting at noon. Visitation will also be held after the service.

Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona, is assisting the family with arrangements.
