Hornick, Susan M. (January 30, 1947 - March 15, 2010) 
 

Susan M. Hornick, 63, formerly of Houghton, Mich., died Monday, March 15, 2010, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen after a lengthy illness. 
 

Susan was born January 30, 1947, in Hancock, Michigan, a daughter of the late A. Charles and Anna (Butkovich) Hornick.   
 

She was raised in Houghton, attending St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic School and graduated from Houghton High School in 1965. She then attended Michigan State University.   
 

Susan was employed in Lansing for the state of Michigan Community Health Department. In 1999, she moved to Wisconsin to be closer to her sister.   
 

Susan enjoyed shopping, watching the History Channel, doing needlework and rooting for the Packers.   
 

Surviving include her sister, Anne (Duane) Teska, Abbotsford; and brother Charles Hornick of Canton, Michigan.   
 

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.

 
Services for Susan were held March 19 at the Plowe Funeral Home in Houghton with Fr. John Martignon presiding. Spring burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton.
