Frey, Kenneth H. (November 5, 1941 - April 5, 2010) 

Kenneth Fry, 68, Dorchester, died Monday, April 5 at his home, surrounded by his family.  

A memorial service was held Saturday, April 10 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen.  

Full military rites were conducted by the Owen American Legion Post No. 123. Active pallbearers were Donald Lampi, Frank Pries, Robert Bakke and Craig Carlson. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Durkee and Ronald Lindgren.

Kenneth Frey was born November 5, 1941 in Medford to Harold and Harriet (Harms) Frey.  

He graduated from Owen High School in 1959. He worked on local farms until entering the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Cape Canaveral, and honorably discharged in 1963.

On June 11, 1966, he married Cala Lindgren, who survives. He worked as a dairy farmer and truck driver.

He was a member of National Farmers Organization and Owen American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, bird watching, rock collecting, restoring a Farmall tractor, spending time with his grandchildren and watching high school sporting events.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his mother, Harriet of Abbotsford; three children, Paul (Virginia) of Tomah, Andrew (Bobbie Jo) of Alma Center and DeAnna (Matthew) Turner of Owen; a sister, Kathleen Bartosiak of Medford; a brother, Keith of Hayward; and 16 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold; and brother-in-law, Robert Bartosiak.
