Helm, Dolores (06 SEPT. 1947)

 

A double ring ceremony at St. Anthony’s Catholic church on Saturday morning united in marriage Miss Dolores Helm of Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Helm of Loyal, and Douglas C. Adair of Milwaukee, son of Walter Adair of Leon, Ia. The Rev. Fr. Aloys Zinthefer officiated.

 

The couple was attended by Miss Florence Helm and James Helm, sister and brother of the bride.

 

The bride was gowned in white satin, fashioned with a long train. Her fingertip veil, edged with lace, was caught to a seed pearl crown. She carried a white prayerbook and a bouquet gladiolas and pink roses on a maline fan. The maid of honor wore an aqua colored taffeta gown, styled with side hoops. She carried a bouquet of white gladiolas, centered with a cluster of pink roses on a maline fan.

 

A dinner was served to 35 guests, all immediate relatives, at the home of the bride’s parents.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal high school, with the class of 1943. She is employed by the Milwaukee Association of Commerce. The groom, a graduate of the Leon high school, and is employed by Checker Company in Milwaukee.

 

The couple left for a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, Canada and Iowa. After Sept. 22, they will be at home to friends at 912 East Wells street, Milwaukee.

 

To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy life.
