Campion, Helen (27 DEC 1948

Of interest to many people here is the marriage on Saturday, Dec. 27, of Theodore (Ted) Fritsch, Green Bay Packer football fullback, and Miss Helen Patricia Campion. The double ring ceremony, in which Mr. Fritsch, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fritch of Spencer, and his bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Campion of Janesville, were married, was performed by the Rev. Fr. E. J. Beck at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Janesville.

Miss Ruth Campion, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Misses Jacquelyn Mills and Joan McCarthy were bridesmaids. The groom’s attendants were his brothers, Robert and James, and the bride’s brother, Francis Campion. Ushers were Douglas McCarthy of Janesville, Rue Burnett of Spencer, and Myron Fritsch of Withee.

Mrs. Fritsch is a graduate of the Janesville high school and St. Anthony’s Hospital School of X-ray Technology in Rockford, Ill. She has been employed as an x-ray technician at St. Vincent’s hospital in Green Bay. Her bridegroom graduated from Spencer high school and Central State Teachers college in Stevens Point. He has been fullback for the Green Bay Packers for six seasons and also plays pro basketball with the Oshkosh All-Stars. He is in semi-pro baseball as a member of the Manitowoc Braves. He was chosen as an all-pro league fullback in the 1944, ’45 seasons.
