Clark, De Etta (20 JUN 1957)
Miss De Etta Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Clark, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), was taken in marriage Thursday, June 20th, 1957, by Edward Sluzewski Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sluzewski, Owen, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen with the Rev. Hubert Crubel officiating.
Scattered bows highlighted the flowing embroidered nylon tulle skirt of the bride’s gown. Imported Alencon lace trimmed the bodice which featured a scooped neckline, short sleeves, and matching gauntlets. Her fingertip veil was caught to a tiara of seed pearls, and she carried a spray of pink roses and stephanotis.
The bride was attended by Miss Joan Sluzewski, a sister of the groom, who chose a gown of pin net over satin. The tiered skirt was topped with a white bodice, sweetheart neckline, and capped sleeves. Her flowers were pink tea roses and white carnations in a colonial bouquet.
Jerry Miller, the bride’s cousin, attended the groom as best man, and Robert Sluzewski ushered.
Mrs. Clark Witnessed her daughter’s wedding wearing a pink silk linen sheath with white accessories and Mrs. Sluzewski wore a sheer navy blue dress with navy accessories. Each had a corsage of pink roses and white carnations and stephanotis.
Dinner and reception were at the groom’s home. The bride graduated from Vocation School, Eau Claire, and the groom is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin. The couple will live in Withee.
