Kademan, Lois #2 (2 NOV 1957)

A farm operated by the bridegroom’s parents near Colby will be the new home of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Block.  Before her marriage on Saturday to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Block, the bride was Miss Lois Ann Kademan.  Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kademan, reside at Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.).

The Rev. V. A. Grosshuesch officiated at the 1:30 p.m. rites in the evangelical and Reformed Church at Colby, where friends and relatives were gathered from Sheboygan, Wausau, Marshfield, Milwaukee, Chicago and North Dakota points.  The bridal couple’s grandmothers were also present to witness the ceremony.

Miss Joan block and Jerald Block, sister and brother of the bridegroom, served as the chief attendants; others serving the bridal pair were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sandley of Marshfield, uncle and aunt of the bride.

Attired in light blue crystal acetate, the bride carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.  Similar princess style street dresses were worn by her aides, whose bouquets contained red and white carnations and yellow pompons.

Ushering duties for the occasion were performed by James Baumgartner and ray Miller Jr., both of Colby.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at the home of the grandparents, and guests were entertained at supper at the parish hall.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Colby High School, which his bride also attended.
