Hesgard, Delores E. (6 MAY 1929 - 4 JUL 2010)

Delores E. Hesgard, 81, of Colby passed away peacefully July 4, 2010, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield surrounded by her family.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Mark Neumann will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial of the ashes will be private.

Delores was born May 6, 1929, in Janesville, the daughter of Frank and Jennie (Ellis) Waggoner. She graduated from Janesville High School. On Nov. 24, 1951, she married the late Stanley Hesgard in Dubuque, Iowa. Together, they raised six children and owned and operated the Town and Country Bar and Liquor Store in Colby. After 24 years, they retired.

She was an active member at Zion Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary in Colby. Delores was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, always having room for the "kids" to stop in.

Delores is lovingly survived by her children Vicki (Warren) Burgett of Janesville, Rebecca (Joseph) Cieslewicz of Waupun, Lonny (Debra) Hesgard of Hanover, Debbie (Bob) Monroe of Colby, Cindy (Mike) Epping of Colby and Randy (Laurie) Hesgard of Colby. She is the proud grandma of 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings Kathryn Warner of Beloit, Iona Edwards of Janesville, Frank (Carleen) Waggoner of Janesville and Jacqueline Kennedy of Janesville. She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley, her parents, her brother the Rev. Ellis Waggoner and granddaughter Allison Wittcamp.
