Hempel, Sheila L. (23 NOV 1967)

 

Miss Sheila L. Hempel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Hempel Sr., Minneapolis, Minn., was married on Nov. 23, 1967 in the Vails Gate Methodist Church to Petty Officer Terry D. Palmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Palmer, Jr., Shore Drive, Beaver Dam, aka Newburg.

 

Rev. Kurt Ottway Jr. performed the double ring ceremony.  A reception was held at the Storm King Arms, Cornwall.

 

Escorted by Howard Brundage of West Nyack, the bride wore a street length ensemble in white brocade, with sheath skirt and matching coat.  She wore a matching pillbox hat and carried white mums, roses and stephanotis.

 

Miss Sally Harder of Milwaukee, Wis. was maid of honor.  Neal T. Palmer, the groom’s brother of Newburg, was best man.  Miss Harder wore a light pink sheath with matching accents and carried pink roses and carnations.

 

The bride is a graduate of Greenwood High School in Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wis. and the Manpower IBM School.  She has been employed by the American Paper and Plastic Co., Milwaukee.

 

Mr. Palmer is a graduate of Cornwell Central High School and is serving with the U.S. Coast Guard at Norfolk, Va., where the couple will live.
