Walter Amidon is building a cement platform around the well at Dave Wood’s.

 

J.V.C. Jeffers visited a Jake Laager’s from Saturday until Sunday.  From there he went to visit at L. Moravec’s.

 

John Durst spent Saturday evening at L. Cook’s.

 

Mrs. Len Cook was at Merrillan between trains Tuesday to meet Earl Lowell, who was on his way home from Osakis, Minn., where he had been visiting his grandparents since last February.  Mrs. Lowell met him in Marshfield.

 

Mrs. Alden Metcalf is entertaining company from away, so we hear.

 

Mrs. Ben Brown and family are selling off their stuff and making preparations to move back to Iowa in a short while.

 

Emma Bruni is home from Altoona where she has been working in a restaurant.  She will go back again in September.

 

Mrs. Walter Amidon went to Melrose Wednesday to visit relatives.

 

Lon Cook is putting a  rubberoid roof on his buggy shed and a shingle roof on the corn crib.

 

Jerry Smith and Henry Collins painted the inside of the hall at the school house.

 

Jake Laager and Walter Imoberstig were Sunday visitors at Lon Cook’s.

 

Hiram Parker cut grain for Putz and Sollberger.

 

Chas. Seif and wife were Sunday visitors with her parents, Dave Wood and wife.

 

Mrs. Dave Wood  spent Saturday night with her mother at Neillsville.
