McDermott, Pearl  (11 DEC 1948)

 

Pearl McDermott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nysted of Loyal, and James M. Ursin , son of Rev. and Mrs. N. B. Ursin of Wittenberg, exchanged nuptial vows at a private wedding ceremony in Trinity Lutheran church here at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11. The Rev. J. C. Langholz officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

 

The bride wore a dove grey gabardine with a corsage of pink roses. She chose as matron of honor her sister, Mrs. Violet Finet of Wausau. Mrs. Finet’s dress was of pale blue wool, and she wore yellow and white flowers. Norman O. Ursin of Witenberg served as his brother’s best man.. Orville Nystad of Loyal, a brother of the bride, ushered.

 

Mrs. Leonard Nystad sang "Because" and Miss Wanda Nystad sang "Oh Promise Me." Miss Mary Nystad was organist.

 

Following the ceremony, a reception and 5 o’clock dinner were given in the church parlors for 40 relatives. Julius Nystad, brother of the bride, served as master of ceremonies, and among the speakers were the Rev. Mr. Ursin and Rev. Langholz.

 

The altar of the church and the dining tables were decorated with bouquets of white and yellow mums.

 

Mr. Ursin is a graduate of the Wittenberg high school. He completed a years at St. Olaf college in Northfield, Minn., before entering the navy. He will graduate from St. Olaf next June. For the past two summers he has been attending the University of Minnesota. His bride is a graduate of the Loyal high school.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ursin will make their home in Northfield.

 

Out-of-town guests at the wedding were the Rev. and Mrs. N. B. Ursin of Wittenberg and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Ursin of Wittenberg, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Nystad and Ralph Suren of Northfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Finet of Wausau.

 

The Loyal Tribune joins their many friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
