Pagelsdorf, Carolyn S. (11 JUN 1966)

Wedding vows were exchanged by Carolyn Sue Pagelsdorf, route 1, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and James Edwin Hinker, route 1, Greenwood, on June 11, 1966 at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal.  Father Norbert E. King officiated and the servers at the Mass were Robert Hinker, Greenwood and Thomas Guzman, Loyal.

St. Anthony’s choir sang for the ceremony, accompanied by Michael Tucker at the organ.  Potted palms and ferns adorned the altar.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pagelsdorf, route 1, Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Hinker, route 1, Greenwood.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white floor length wedding gown of nylon organza over taffeta with a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves.  The princess style A-line skirt ended into a large chapel train, with Venetian lace on the skirt front and through midriff.

Her large bouffant veil of English illusion bellowed from a crown of aurora bocealis crystals, seed pearls and Venetian lace.  A crescent shape boquet of deep pink and white gardenias were carried by the bride.

Mrs. George (Patricia) Stumpner, route 1, Loyal, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor.  Mrs. Lester Kaiser, Stratford and Miss Rita Stumpner, Racine, were the bridesmaids.

The bridal attendants wore two-tone pink, floor length gowns of chiffon over taffeta, with bateau necklines, elbow length sleeves, and controlled skirts.  Venetian lace formed the trim around the sleeves and waistline.

They each wore a small bouffant veils which bellowed from a petaled headpiece.  Their bouquets consisted of pale pink gardenias in a heart shape.

Serving the groom as best man was George Stumpner, route 1, Loyal, and the groomsmen were Lester Kaiser, Stratford and William Pagelsdorf, route 1, Loyal.  Francis Hinker, Greenwood and Lloyd Jensen, route 1, Marshfield were the ushers.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents followed by a supper at the church hall and dance at the Silver Done Ballroom, Neillsville.

The bride is a 1960 graduate of Loyal High School and is employed by Bahri O. Gungor, M.D., Loyal Medical Center.  The groom attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, Greenwood, and graduated from Greenwood High School.  He is a machine operator for John Wuethrich Creameries, Inc.

After a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin and Illinois the couple will be home to friends at East Division Street, Greenwood.

Guests attending the wedding came from Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Milwaukee, Eau Claire, Kenosha, Madison, Janesville, Wausau, Marshfield, Colby, Spencer, Greenwood, Loyal, Neillsville, and surrounding communities.
