Haunschild, Mary Ann (16 APR 1966)

Miss Mary Ann Haunschild, 101 S. Orchard St., Madison, became the bride of David Arthur Zilz, 2235 Woodview Court, Madison, during ceremonies in the Grace Methodist Church at Greenwood Saturday, April 16, 1966, the Rev. Carl Booher officiating at the 2 p.m. rite.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Haunschild, greenwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Zilz, Iola.  Mr. Haunschild gave his daughter in marriage.  The church was decorated with pink and white chrysanthemums.

A floor length gown of white organza trimmed with peau de ange lace was chosen by the bride.  It was designed by a chapel length Watteau train attached at the waistline.  Her lace and pearl headpiece held a silk illusion veil and she carried a single pink duchess rose.

Mrs. John A. Kruse came from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to be matron of honor.  She had a mint green floor length gown accented by an empire bodice of lace with a matching skirt of organza.  Her headpiece was a matching satin bow and she carried a crescent bouquet of white full chrysanthemums.  She is a twin sister of the bride.

Brides matrons - Mrs. Gene Swanson, New Brighton, Minn., and Mrs. Gene Hooker, Waukegan, Ill., were dressed identically to the matron of honor and each had a bouquet of white Fuji chrysanthemums.

Glenn Moen of Chicago, Ill., served the groom as his best man, with Lyle Bailey, Madison and Marlyn Jacobson, Scandinavia, the groomsmen.  Dale Haunschild of St. Paul, Minn., Jon Haunschild, River Falls and Gene Hooker, Waukegan, Ill., did ushering duties.

The Star Lodge Motel at Loyal was the scene of the dinner and wedding reception.  After May 2 and a honeymoon to Scottsdale, Ariz., the newlyweds will be at home in Madison at 22 35 Woodview Court.

The former Miss Haunschild is a 1962 graduate of Luther Hospital School of Nursing at Eau Claire and is a nurse at University Hospitals in Madison.  Her husband received his master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy in Madison in 1964 and is current assistant director of Central services at University Hospitals.
