Pipkorn, Vern (2 September 1918 - 21 November 1980)


Loyal - Vern Pipkorn, 62, former Town of Beaver resident, died at 11;30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.  He had been a resident of Memorial Home, Neillsville, the past four years.


Private graveside services will be Tuesday at Town of Beaver Cemetery.  The Rev. Donald I. Adams of Grace United Methodist Church, Greenwood, is to officiate.


Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, is handling arrangements. 


Mr. Pipkorn was born Sept. 3, 1918 in the Town of Beaver.  He was educated there and also attended Owen High School.  He worked for the railroad as a young man.


His marriage to the former Odette Ampe ended in divorce.


He is survived by two children, Mrs. Robert (Judy) Gehery of Levittown, Pa., and James of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrs. Fred (Cora) Pacholke of Hayward, Mrs. Olive Steffens of Florida, and Mrs. Rhoda Vogel of Greenwood.


Two brothers, two sisters and his parents are deceased.
