Roehl, Otto W. (6 JUN 1880 - 14 SEP 1950)

 

Otto W. Roehl, 70, of the town of Eaton (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 1950, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.  Death was attributed to heart failure.

 

Born near Lake Mills on June 6, 1880, Mr. Roehl received his education in the schools there before moving with his parents to this vicinity in 1901.  He married Stella Covey in the Loyal Methodist Church in 1911.  After marriage, he moved to a farm southwest of Loyal, where he lived ever since.  Mrs. Roehl preceded him in death in May 1947.

 

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Anne Harnack of Fort Atkinson, and two brothers, Louis Roehl of Ithaca, N.Y., and Edward Roehl of Wenatchee, Wash.

 

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. in the Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lee Holmes officiating.  Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were William Tucker, V. O. Kauffman, Albert Davel, Fred Cox Sr., Herbert White and William Habhegger.

 

Mrs. Calvin Prior, Mrs. R. A. Prior, J. R. Colby and Robert Uhrig sang "Under His Wing: and "He Hideth My Soul," accompanied by Donna Mae Gotter.
