Eysnogle, Nettie #3 (25 JAN 1861 - 11 OCT 1950)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Eysnogle, 89, were held at the Methodist Church in Neillsville at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, with the Rev. Lee H. Holmes of Loyal officiating.  Burial was in the Neillsville Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Eysnogle passed away at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 1950, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Young, at Willard (Clark Co., Wis.).

 

The former Nettie Deets, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Deets, Mrs. Eysnogle has resided in Clark County since 1900.  Born in Carl Co., Ohio, on Jan. 25, 1861, she came with her parents when two years old to Richland County.  After her marriage to Joseph Eysnogle, the young couple farmed in that county until 1900, when they came to Clark County, farming until 1942, when they retired and purchased a home in Neillsville.  Mr. and Mrs. Eysnogle celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1937.  They resided at their home in Neillsville until Mr. Eysnogle’s death Mar. 11, 1945, after which Mrs. Eysnogle made her home with her three daughters.

 

Surviving are: three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Blanche) Schaeffner of Granton, Mrs. James (Zettie) Young of Willard and Mrs. Merton (Dessie) Davis of Marshfield; a sister, Mrs. Villa Moser of Richland Center, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

 

Among those who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Clouse of Loyal.
