Krehmeyer, Joy #3 (29 JULY 1929 - 21 AUG 2010)

 

Joy M. Krehmeyer, 81, Neillsville, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, with her husband at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. A private family service is planned.

 

Joy M. Dein was born on July 29, 1929, in Irvington, Neb., to George "Thomas" and Margaret (nee Anderson) Dein. She grew up in the Omaha, Neb. Area. She married Merle Krehmeyer on Feb. 18, 1947. In 1953, they moved to Neillsville, where they purchased a dairy farm. She farmed for many years and loved the farm, her cattle, and chickens and everything about country living. She had a special place in her heart for horses and her dogs. She also enjoyed reading, antiquing, toy collecting and bird watching.

 

Survivors include Merle Krehmeyer, her husband of 63 years; four sons, Gary (Delores) Krehmeyer, Spencer, Dan (Linda) Krehmeyer, Neillsville, Jerry (Melva) Krehmeyer, Neillsville, and Randy (Cheryl) Krehmeyer, Neillsville; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Faye, Beales, Omaha, Neb., a brother, Wayne Dein, Blair; and nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

 

One brother, Larry, preceded her in death.

 

Evergreen Funeral Home and Crematory, Eau Claire, assisted the family with arrangements.
