Wiedenhoeft, Albert G. (2 Apr. 1884 - 26 Mar. 1960)

 

Funeral services for Albert G. Wiedenhoeft, 75, who died Saturday at the home of his son, Gilbert, at Unity, after a lingering illness, were held Tuesday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church at Colby. The Rev. William Christian officiated and burial was made in the Colby cemetery.

 

Mr. Wiedenhoeft was born near Fond du Lac April 2, 1884, and came to Colby in 1889. In his early years, he farmed in the Colby and Abbotsford areas, and for 10 years, operated a general store in Colby. For 14 years, he drove the school bus for the Colby district. He also served as supervisor for the town of Colby ?? some time.

 

Surviving him are his widow, the former Evelyn Fratz (??), two sons, Arthur of Colby and Gilbert, of Unity; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Pauls, Schofield; four grand children; one great grand child, a brother, Herman of Colby; and four sisters, Mrs. Charles (Amanda) Feind, Mrs. Albert (Augusta) Franz and Mrs. Ed (Louise) Feind, all of Colby; and Mrs. Roger (Anita) Nickel, Lakewood, Ohio.

 

One son, Lloyd, and two brothers preceded him in death.
