Frozen sewer pipes at the new school Friday made extra work for the school board over the weekend. The pipes couldn’t be thawed out, but they had the septic tank pumped out and it will have to be kept pumped out until the dry well and pipes thaw out, with the warmer weather of spring.

Elmer Kapfer and Neillsville Farmers Union officers attended a Farmers Union meeting in Augusta Thursday night.

Mrs. William Tullis entertained the Cannonville Ladies Aid last Thursday with quite a large attendance.  Dinner was served at noon, after which the meeting was conducted with the president, Mrs. Walter Trachte, presiding.  Election of officers was part of the business.  Mrs. Trachte was re-elected president; Mrs. William Tullis, vice president; Mrs. George Allbaugh, treasurer; Mrs. Oliver Williams, secretary; Mrs. Ed Hawkins, assistant secretary; and Mrs. Ralph Short, treasurer of the Sunshine fund.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kuhn and sons were Sunday dinner guests at the Ed Short home.
