Gaetz, Audris (14 MAR 1936-02 SEP 2010)

 

Audria Ann Gaetz, 74, formerly of Unity, was born into eternal life on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at the Colby Retirement Home, with her family at her side. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 6, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger. Rev. Rebekah Tarris officiated. Audris’ grandsons served as pallbearers. Interment was in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

 

Audris Ann Schoelzel was born on March 14, 1935, in Colby, the daughter of Rudolph and Olivia (nee Gutenberger) Schoelzel. She graduated from Colby High School. After graduation, she married Verlyn Wolfe. After Verlyn’s death, she married Ralph Gaetz, on Dec. 22, 1956, in Colby. They farmed in the Riplinger area and she enjoyed being a farm wife and homemaker. She also enjoyed playing cards, reading, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church Ladies’ Aid and the Unity American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

 

She is lovingly survived by her six children, Nancy (Rodney) Delo, Loyal, Cindy (Larry) Bowe, Loyal, Steve (Sandy Babcock) Gaetz, Spencer, Sharon (Larry) Hamus, Spencer, Karen (Andrew) Mueller, Spencer, Michael (Melissa) Gaetz, Spencer, and Kathi (Keith) Pozorski, Marathon City; 14 grandchildren, Joel and Amber Delo, Ashley (Dave Jr.) Clintsman, Nathan Bowe, Melissa (Mike) Delo, Travis (Amanda) Gaetz, Jessica and Jenna Hamus, Jordon and Tyler Mueller, Tanner and Erica Gaetz, and Katie and Kyle Pozorski; four great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Reese Clintman, Madelynn Delo, and Cameron Gaetz; 12 siblings, Darlene (Edward) Wachendonk, Jerold (Joan) Schoelzel, Darnell (Janice) Schoelzel, Ione Pipkorn, Emerita Phillips, Ronald Schoelzel, Glenn (Ramona) Schoelzel, James (Bonnie) Schoelzel, Sandra (James) Hudak, Dennis (Edith) Schoelzel, Colleen (Duane) Stine, and Corliss Uhlig; and many other family and friends.

 

Preceding her in death were her husbands Verlyn and Ralph; her parents, five brothers, Rudolph, DuWayne, Lyle, Arlyn, and Albert Schoelzel; and three sisters, Doris (Chamberlain, Patricia Seefeld, and Beatrice Marth.
