On Jan. 15 the Rev. Msgr. H. P. Toeller of St. Mary’s Catholic church in Wausau performed the ceremony which united Margaret Newhouse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Newhouse of Loyal, and Joseph Hastreiter of Wausau in marriage.


The bride wore a deep green gabardine suit, with white accessories. To her shoulder was pinned a corsage of red and white carnations.


Miss Helen Langfeldt of Loyal, a friend of the bridal couple was maid of honor. She wore a grey gabardine suit, with pink accessories, and had a corsage of pink and white carnations pinned to her shoulder.


Kermit Newhouse of Milwaukee, brother of the bride, was best man.


After the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served to the bridal party at the Hotel Wausau. Later in the day a reception was held at the home of the bride and groom, at 624 Gilbert street, Wausau.


Out of town guests who were at Wausau for the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hastreiter of Rib Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Meske of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hastreiter of Greenwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Newhouse and son, Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hastreiter, Mr. and Mrs. Max Langfeldt and Rod Walker of Loyal.


Mr. and Mrs. Hastreiter are both employed in Wausau, where they will make their home.


The loyal Tribune joins their friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
